LOOOL. What with everything that's happened, it's no wonder I've got such a stiff body right now. And after everything is over and done with, I will not say something like: "
Ang saya ng Matsuri.". That is such an understatement.
SOOOOOOOBRANG SAYA NG MATSURI!!!! WHOO HOOO!!!
Kudos to all members who worked their backs (and feet) off to make this event "very very successful" (quoted from a sponsor). No one will ever truly know how we ran until our feet were blistered, cried until our eyes were puffy (this is actually just for
chibi_boom, haha. XD), shouted until our voices were hoarse, etc. etc. for this event to run as smoothly as it did (though some not as smoothly as we wanted, but what the hell,
panalo pa rin!).
Arrived at the venue at 9:30am. Also started drinking (yes, literally glugging) Pei Pa Koa at 9:30am, while struggling to keep my voice from getting hoarse (or hoarser than it already is) and juggling the sponsors' needs. Started my roaming shift (I think I may have been the one person--other than
chibi_boom--to have the roaming shift the entire day) at exactly 1pm. Hello, blisters! Chased random street kids away from the right gate. Looked all over the venue for missing security guards. Dropped by the sponsors' booths from time to time to ask if everything was fine and if they needed anything else. Became random errand girl for
chibi_boom and
utakalabasa. Collected the balance from some booth renters. Collected money from the food booths.
PHEW.
Thank you to:
1) Our sponsors, for making so much money in our event. LOOOOL. Joke. Thank you for enjoying yourselves as much as you did and making my job at the event a whole lot easier than I thought it'd be (though it was still hard). One big THANK YOU to Dennis Uy.
Salamat sa lahat ng tulong mo, friend. Hahaha!
Thank you to (Sirs) Patrick, Alwyn, Dennis (T.), Raymond, BJ, Aquino, and Archie, who all said "Ok tong event niyo! Next year ulet!". Haha, too bad I cannot promise the same event next year (that's for the GA to decide, and we still want to savor the matsuri's success). Also, thank you for the early Christmas gifts I received. Haha, the perks of a MarCom Head. Post the pics of my stuffies later. XD Thanks to Maam Leslie and Maam Day.
Thank you to peeps of Ongaku Society (hehe, chismosa-mates XD), talkpinoy/illust, 7mi, Soul Society Phils., and Read or Die Convention. No thank you to TS Online. LOL. (- will upload sponsor booth pics later. XD)
Pahabol. Thank you to E-A-G (thanks to
michikat who coined the code. LOL), who practically made my day. Thank you for being so thick faced and giving me a chance to send your
alipores away with a grin on my face. I'm
not sorry you had to drag your huge-ass van and your huge-ass equipment back to where they belonged without even so much as one used roll of film. I expect that will be the last time I ever see (or hear) you professionally (if we're not invited to meetings anymore), and I say good riddance. ;P
2) Sasa (
luinthoniel), for sharing the stress and for being the working machine that you are. I now love you to death. To the MarCom peeps who were always at my beck and call when I needed you, thank you soooo much. To the AME peeps who kept encouraging me, thank you. (
Parang nanalo sa beauty pageant, LOL.)
3) tRANCE (
sisteena and
sorceressran), for bearing with me when there were times I was so busy (or ill) that we couldn't practice. I know there are people who are scoffing at us and speaking ill of us for what we do, but I say to hell with them. They don't know how much effort and money we put into practices and preparation for our performances, so they don't have any right to say anything. Even though our voices were hoarse from overuse and our faces were dripping with perspiration, we were still able to perform, though not as good as we would have liked for our own event (
nagkamali ako, hahaha! Panalo!). I think we did a pretty good job, by the way, despite having to juggle acads (only for you two), matsuri and other org work, practice, and (for the past few days) coughs, colds, and sore throats. Hah! Let those people bashing us try to do
that! So, for all that, thank you.
4)
utakalabasa, for telling me to be the better person. I've thought about it, and yeah, maybe I
will.
EVERYONE WHO CAME TO THE EVENT, THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!This ends my post. On a side note, while watching the fireworks, I was actually chanting the price for them inside my head. But I say IT WAS WORTH IT. Hehe. We were the first to actually do that, and I'm happy. XD
P.S. I forgot my envelope (the one containing my contracts, yung brown envelope na nakalagay sa plastic envelope) sa AME Booth. May nakakita ba? @_@ Sana may nag-uwi. Huhu. Also, yung tarp ng RoDcon. Thanks.
