THANK GOD summer season is about to end. I can't stop thinking about how much I'll have to download once the fall season's begun. Thank you Globelines, you are a lifesaver. XD

SKIP BEAT. SKIP BEAT. SKIP BEAT. *o*

And Nodame Cantabile, of course. (Too bad the manga's going on hiatus at the exact same time the anime sequel is going to be aired. Well, maybe it's ok since they've got enough material to fill a whole season's worth.)

And I might watch the European Saiunkoku Monogatari (as branded by [info]greyrook_22 in her post), just as long as it doesn't turn out as sucky as Samurai 7. Ne~? XD

Oh, lots of potentially good anime for this season. I'll just download everything I feel like downloading, especially since I don't see my "partner" being able to finish everything she wants to download for the sake of her "fandom", thus sacrificing all possibility of anime downloads. Haha, you know who you are. XD It's ok though, I've got speed enough for the both of us. :D

Here's a meme I stole from everyone (who seems to be looking for possible explanations for his/her behavior ;p):

Damn, I want to know who else is watching Itazura na Kiss in my flist. I want to fangirl / boy with someone.

Or I will die of kilig. Seriously. NAO plz.

And I am not going to be tempted into watching the damn T-drama, at all at least until the anime finishes. There are a few sources saying that the ending planned for the anime will be the one that the mangaka (RIP) wanted to do before she died. Thank god for husbands and chatty housewives.

p.s. The new ending song for episode 14 is so damn good. It's going nonstop on my playlist.

This is GREAT! According to this, one of my favorite manga of all time, Skip Beat!, will be animated for the Fall Season of 2008.

At first I heard that there was going to be a Taiwanese Skip Beat! drama starring Jerry Yan (MG) and Ariel Lin (ISWAK). I was really worried because, well, no offense to the Taiwanese, but they usually murder botch up manga when they adapt it to a drama. Take Hana Kimi, for instance. And Meteor Garden 2 LOL. XD

Anyway, this is great because as far as I can see from the upcoming 2008 Summer Anime Season, there's really nothing to look forward to. However, if they're gonna give us a fantastic line-up for the Fall Season (after Spring Season's awesomeness), it's going to be worth the wait.

Rumors of this all-star line-up for fall include sequels for Nodame Cantabile, Jigoku Shoujo, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, Clannad, Kodomo no Jikan, Hayate no Gotoku and Rosario + Vampire, as well as a set of highly anticipated new anime.

I honestly didn't expect a sequel for Nodame. I guess the anime was so incredibly successful that they had to do one. :D

Aaaaaaaand, because I don't want this journal to become a random rant account, UPDATES!!!

Anime:

Kamichama Karin - Loli crack. This is actually one of the few anime with Loli art that I watched, just because it's totally funny. Sometimes the art is inconsistent, though, but even that is funny.

Romeo x Juliet - Stuck at ep 13. Still drool-worthy. Ehe.

Manga:

Special A - VK is absolute LOVE for releasing 4 chapters of this hilarious manga in a row. Kei, you pitiful beast. Hikari, denseness is NOT a virtue.

Vampire Knight - Can I say man-love now? Can I? Kyaaaa~! Man-biting-man goodnesssssssss~!! Why does Yuuki seem so out of place in that manga? Ahahaha. By God, if Yuuki doesn't end up with Kaname, she doesn't have to end up with anyone at all. KanamexZero is fine by me too. Afufufufufu. ;)

Drama:

Hana Kimi - I loved the adaptation. And the spirit/aura-seeing guy. The guy playing Nanba doesn't feel too right, though. And yes, Oguri Shun is still hot.

Just got home from an over-extended stay at [info]keiji13's house and THE PAD. And lookie lookie at what greeted me at the gate. THE MERALCO BILL. I guess it was too much wishful thinking that the electric bill had gone down for this month (I am NEVER introducing anything harmful like online games to my brothers EVER AGAIN). I won't mention the amount, but for those of you to whom I've told what it was last month, it's much MUCH higher than that now. I've warned them over and over again that they should tone down on the playing. I'm not sure if my brothers are just plain stupid or they just don't care. Oh God, have mercy on us when we face the wrath.

I'm also pissed off at my mom. When I was scolding everybody in the house (except my dad, of course, and trust me, it's a weird picture since I'm second to the youngest in the house), she started accusing everybody of what they did that caused such an expensive bill. She said I was using the air conditioner in the afternoon. Well, bitch, we just started using the aircon in our room again. It's been years since we last used it (for power-saving purposes), and I think we at least deserve using it in the afternoon. Besides, it was just a few times. I just couldn't stand the heat after I came home from the office. Frankly, she doesn't have any right. She's the one watching TV the whole time. When she found out I had copies of both seasons of Hana Yori Dango, she pestered me to burn her copies so she could watch them on the DVD player. And when she finished, guess what she did. She watched them all over again. Bitch. She should look at herself first.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I just went through a bummer's weekend. I went ice skating with those dorks from FaMusu (hahaha XD), and shortly after, watched Shrek 3 at Eastwood with [info]keiji13, [info]sorceressran, [info]jellypatch, and Luloy. It's great, by the way. It's worth the 160 pesos I paid for it. Watch it. XD

"On the contrary..."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Onto other things, I've just started watching Twelve Kingdoms on [info]chibi_boom's recommendation. The main girl protagonist, Youko, almost made it to the top of my most hated bitch list (yes, topping even Kikyou, Tomoe, and Mitsuki Rara). Well, almost. She went from useless crybaby to annoying emo during the first few eps, and it was the first time I had an urge to slap a 2D character senseless. Good thing she became a bit more likable as the story progressed. I'm still stuck on episode 8, though, so I don't know if she'll continue on that likable path or not.

La Corda 11 is out after the LONG wait. But I'm not too much into it anymore. Not like RxJ, anyway.

*still spreading the RxJ love*

Nobuta wo Produce is next on my to-watch list (because [info]crux_australis is pestering me to watch Pepito XD), as well as both seasons of Honey and Clover. Then I'm going to catch up on my manga. I'm currently spreading Hino Matsuri love. ^o~

Hahahahaha! Ichigo x Orihime fans, don't hate me for this. I was browsing through Bleach discussion sites to know if the pairing I shipped (duh, IchiRuki) was already extinct, and I found this comment on a fan discussion about Bleach. I just couldn't resist putting it here.

"Could you imagine Ichigo and Orihime eventually having kids?

...

Those children would have the IQ of Toast.

Yet another reason Ichigo+Rukia makes sense."

Hahahaha!! LOOOOOL. That made my day, along with this essay. I'm not really so sure now if I want to give up reading Bleach manga for good. Just because of all the wanking. XD

p.s. This is, of course, not taking into consideration that Ichigo and Orihime are both at the top of their high school batch. XD

Why is NO ONE subbing Saiunkoku Monogatari's Season 2?! There are already 3 episodes out. Even the non-English subs have released them until ep 3. What is wrong with the fansubbing groups? >_<

Shout-out to d.r.e.g.s.s. If there still isn't a group doing this (and I don't get to finish downloading Angelique raws because of the lack of seeders), can we sub this? Well, if we can't then that's fine. T_T

Fun facts time! Did you know that Mamoru a.k.a. Tuxedo Kamen doesn't throw a single rose in all 14 volumes of the Sailor Moon manga? Hahaha. He's not such a loser in the manga, yay.

I'm probably going back to the boarding house today so I don't waste money going to QC everyday. Therefore I've got no net access until next week. Text me if you need anything.

p.s. My mom is bitching at us again. Ugh. I SWEAR I will spend my menopausal days in solitude, so I won't give my future sons/daughters any headaches.

Just finished watching episode 1 of Romeo x Juliet, the anime adaptation of the romantic tragedy by William Shakespeare.

Truthfully, I'm not a fan of romantic tragedies at all, and thus was never interested in Romeo and Juliet. But WOW. The whole episode sent shivers down my spine. I'm glad that I downloaded this out of sheer boredom.

Of course, we all know the plot. The setting is in a floating city, Neo Verona, where the difference between nobility and commoners is manifest. Juliet is the last remaining survivor of the murdered Capulets, the past monarch rulers. Romeo is the son of the current Montague dictator. It's still unknown whether Gonzo will deviate from the traditional story (as they did with Gankutsuou a.k.a. The Count of Monte Cristo), but the differences in the setting hold promise.

People might look at this and just brush it off as an overly used storyline, but I will have to disagree. This definitely has something more to it. There is a future feel, as well as a past feel. (I know it's vague, but you'll get the idea once you watch it.) The action is much more impressive than I would've thought (it's romance, and I'm doing stereotypes). Juliet kicks serious ass, unlike (originally) being a damsel in distress. The episode is well paced; the succession of significant events are not dragging, or hurried.

Ratings:

Art: 10/10 (Very consistent, but then again it's still ep 1.)
BGM: 9/10
Opening song: 10/10

Japanese version of Josh Groban's hit song. Totally orgasmic. I was shivering the whole time I was listening to the opening. To be released on June 20 (FTW, I have to wait THAT long?!).
Ending Song: 9/10
Cyclone
by 12012
Somehow reminded me of Death Note songs and L'arc. LOL. Very nice ending song, though I didn't expect it to be something like this.

All in all, I think Gonzo has a future major hit in the form of Romeo x Juliet.

p.s. ANN has only listed 6 episode titles for this series. Does this mean there are only 6 eps? @_@

EDIT: Episode 2 is drool-worthy. ROMEO, I CLAIM YOU!! XD

Saiunkoku Monogatari's first season has now officially ended with episode 39. For all of us romantic hopefuls out there (whichever pairing we prefer), good thing there's another season, ne?

I was supposed to go swimming yesterday with some cousins and relatives, but they, being the devout Catholics they are, totally forgot that all establishments were closed during Good Friday. @_@ And so, I only ended up bumming around my relatives' house in Cavite. Not really productive and enjoyable.

I hate this week. Manga releases are at an all-time low, so I don't have anything to download aside from anime episode releases. I feel so bored. Good thing my job keeps me busy for half of the day.

And [info]cheska, if you're reading this, please check your mail. I sent you a love letter. LOL. Anyway, if you can't help coz you're busy and all that, that's no pwoblem. XD

My two cents?

1) Someone had to say it.
2) Whatever. It's not like anyone reads it, dude.
3) If you're going to be haughty, then please do it in the confines of your own mind. No one cares to hear/see it anyway.

It's my bro's birthday today, and my best friend's birthday yesterday. So even if those guys won't be able to see this:

Happy Birthday JAHREN and AISSA!!

I've recently downloaded Kite, an H-movie from the same maker of Mezzo Forte. It's really great. It's rare that they make hentai that can stand on its own even if it wasn't hentai (it's the only reason I dl-ed it). The action is great (especially for Mezzo Forte). Character development is great. Even the romance is great (this is for Kite). Thanks to [info]kalabull for burning me a copy of Mezzo Forte. I'd really recommend this for mature girls and guys (but you wouldn't need me recommending this, do you?) out there. Hahaha.

tRANCE will be the opening number for Ozine Fest 2007! Please come and support us. XD

I haven't had this much free time since I was in my mother's belly. And I never actually believed I was poor until last week.

Just recently started watching anime/j-doramas/random shows again. Thanks to Japan's fall anime line-up (with random j-doramas and Johnny's concerts on the side), I've reverted to passing my time watching them on my laptop rather than reading manga. So for now, new manga downloads are on hold, but I'll still update my current incomplete titles.

I really wanna start working immediately so I can get rid of so much free time.

Anyway, reviews:

Hana Yori Dango 2: Didn't actually expect it to become such a kick-ass season opener. That bunch of crap they called "Meteor Garden 2" won't be able to hold a candle to this one. Oguri Shun is teh SMEX. Perfect acting, perfect appearance, perfect everything! Goodbye (and good riddance) Hua Tse Lei. (No offense to MG fans. Oh well, take it however you like. LOL.) I won't be expounding on this since I may end up spoiling people. Just take a look for yourself.
Rating: 10/10 (perfect points for Hanazawa Rui)

HanaKimi (Taiwanese ver.): Kinda humorous, but I get the feeling that they didn't spare a high budget for this one. LOL. For one, the girl playing Mizuki (err, I don't remember the Chinese name) is really FUGLY. Ugh. But the guy playing Sano is HOT. Hehehe.
Rating: 5/10 (all five points are for Sano)

Nodame Cantabile: Funny as hell. Great actors, especially Chiaki and Nodame. I love the musical plot. Nodame's actress is really talented at the piano. All in all, great.
Rating: 9/10 (plus points for musically gifted actors)

Anime:

Kekkaishi: Good plot, funny characters. And most importantly, CHEESE.
Rating: 8/10

Nodame Cantabile: The only thing that makes the live version better than the anime is the musical part. But in all other aspects, the anime rocks.
Rating: 9/10

La Corda D'Oro: Bishies galore! Girl's harem! What more can I say? Hehehe.
Rating: 20/10 (LOL)

Haha, I'm so shallow, it's pathetic. XD
